クラフトアーティスト 織茂 瞳 (おりも ひとみ)
幼い頃から物づくりや空間への関心がありました。
専門学校のスペースデザイン科で学ぶうちに、
空間の表情を変え時間を生み出す照明に興味を抱き始め、
木をベースに様々な素材を使い、
らんぷを創作するようになりました。
らんぷの創作を続けていく中での気付きや発見は、
これからの創作に繋がっていきました。
らんぷを灯したときにシェードから落ちる「影」も
作品の一部とゆうこと。
空間に灯される光と影のバランス。
ここ数年創作している 異素材を組み合わせたオブジェの作品も、
作品が存在する空間や、その時間の光の加減によって、
全く違う顔を見せる瞬間があります。
どんな光を受けて、どんな影をつくるのか。
私は作品を創りながら、
取り巻く光と影、異素材の一体感。
そのバランスを見届けていきたいと思っています。
Craft Artist - Hitomi Orimo
I've always liked craft and space designing ever since I was a child.
When I was a student in specialized work training college,
I became interested in lightings which enables me to change the expression and atmosphere of a room, create a calm and relaxing passage of time.
At that time I started to make lighting equipment (which I call 'lamps') using wood, glass, Japanese washi paper, and other materials. The new discoveries I encounter by making lamps stimulate my creativity to expand. The uniqueness of my lamps is that they are made not only to provide a warm light to space but also they provide an exquisite shadow that brings more comfort.
My most recent works, objects made from different materials bring very different expressions to time and space.
